Honda Efforts to Green up Operations and Products are Paying Off

Honda has always tried its best to be a green company and build cars that are good for the environment. Their goal has never involved being trendy or "greenwashing." The goal has always been to simply build better cars.
For example, in 1992 Honda wrote the "Honda Environmental Statement" which states that, "As a responsible member of society whose task lies in the preservation of the global environment, the company will make every effort to contribute to human health and the preservation of the global environment in each phase of its corporate activity. Only in this way will we be able to promote a successful future not only for our company, but the entire world."1
To prove that they were serious about this endeavor, Honda began releasing annual environmental reports to make sure they were having a positive effect on their environment and being held accountable for their commitments.
The latest report came out on Jan 23, 2012 and the results are in; Honda's commitment to being green is paying off.
